Description

Elemi is an evergreen tree, most abundant in the Philippines, growing up to 30 m in height. Its bark is rich in resin, which is collected and used to make essential oil and other products. Historical sources mention that Filipinos used Elemi as a natural remedy to treat infections, joint pain, wounds, and many other ailments. Aromatic canaries were known in ancient Egypt and China as embalming agents. Their products have been enriched with skin care products to make it soft and supple.

Aromatic canary is an essential oil with an intriguing and original aroma. The ultra-fresh, green start is reminiscent of conifers, turpentine and camphor, then sweetens and opens with light balsamic and spicy accents, with a beautiful cumin halftone.

This essential oil is considered grounding and balancing. It can also help with anxiety or numbness.

Elemi essential oil can be helpful in changing seasons, especially during the cold season. It is useful to refine and purify indoor air, as well as to evaporate at the risk of respiratory diseases, suffering from bronchitis or dry cough.

It has been observed that this essential oil has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties and is therefore used in massage mixtures. Elemi essential oil can effectively relax overworked muscles and nerves.

For colds. To ease breathing and improve expectoration, it is possible to breathe the vapours of the water to which this essential oil has been added, or to apply it on the floor (away from the face), to breathe it into a personal inhaler, etc.

In cosmetic products. Canary oil is used in cosmetic skin care products to improve the condition of inflamed, sagging and ageing skin.

Emotional state. Elemi essential oil not only has a scent reminiscent of frankincense, but also many similar properties. It is therefore also suitable for steaming and other uses to achieve inner peace, relaxation and mental focus. It helps to get rid of negative thoughts and anxiety. The scent of canary grass essential oil creates a sense of harmony and balances agitated emotions.
