Description

Elemi (Canarium luzonicum) is an evergreen tree native to the Philippines, where it can grow up to 30 metres tall. Its bark is rich in aromatic resin, which is harvested and used to produce essential oil and other natural products. Historical sources describe the traditional use of elemi resin in the Philippines in practices associated with supporting well-being. The tree was also known in ancient Egypt and China, where its resin and balsamic materials were valued for a variety of cultural and household purposes. Elemi-derived ingredients were also incorporated into skincare preparations to help leave the skin feeling soft and smooth.

Elemi Essential Oil has a distinctive and intriguing aroma. It opens with an intensely fresh, green fragrance reminiscent of conifer needles, turpentine, and camphor, before gradually developing into softer balsamic and spicy notes with an elegant hint of caraway.

Elemi essential oil can be useful during the changing seasons, especially during cold season. It is useful for purifying and purifying indoor air, and also for evaporation at risk of respiratory diseases, for sufferers of bronchitis, dry coughs and even mucus congestion.

The essential oil has been noted to have inflammatory and pain-relieving properties and is therefore used in massage blends. Elemi essential oil can effectively relax overworked muscles and nerves.

Usage

For a relaxing massage. Elemi essential oil is ideal for massage blends when you want to relax muscles or joints, in case of fatigue, and is therefore recommended for active people. It may also be valuable for the elderly.

For air purification. Use in vaporisers, humidifiers, aromatic lamps. If you don't have one, simply apply to cotton wool and place in several places in the house on warm radiators. Elemi essential oil is suitable for purifying and improving the air in living rooms, bathrooms and common areas. It can be added to water for washing floors, etc.

For colds. To ease breathing and improve expectoration, it is possible to breathe the vapours of the water to which this essential oil has been added, or to apply it on the floor (away from the face), to breathe it into a personal inhaler, etc.

In cosmetic products. Canary oil is used in cosmetic skin care products to improve the condition of inflamed, sagging and ageing skin.

Emotional state. Elemi essential oil not only has a scent reminiscent of frankincense, but also many similar properties. It is therefore also suitable for steaming and other uses to achieve inner peace, relaxation and mental focus. It helps to get rid of negative thoughts and anxiety. The scent of canary grass essential oil creates a sense of harmony and balances agitated emotions.
