We are true experts in quality oils. We offer the largest selection of unrefined oils of high cosmetic quality, from basic to highly specific. All you have to do is not be afraid to experiment and choose the one that suits you best.

What are cosmetic oils and butters used for?

They are the most valuable, environmentally friendly and cost-effective skin care products. Natural. Prebiotic. Versatile - the same oil can be used for face, body, hands, feet, mucous membranes, hair, nails, make-up removal, massages...

What is the difference between unrefined oil and refined oil. Ant why it's important

There is no difference in the fatty acid composition (saturated, monounsaturated, polyunsaturated) of unrefined and refined oils. The main difference is that after refining, the oil is devoid of the most important bioactive substances such as vitamins, antioxidants, polyphenols, phytosterols, so refined oils are inert, odourless and colourless. Unrefined oils are distinguished by their colour, odour and penetrability.

Oils are different. The quality of the oil is mainly influenced by the quality of the seed/nut raw material, the method of extraction and the post-extraction treatment, i.e. whether the oil has been refined or not.

For cosmetic quality, the oil must be cold pressed or CO2 extracted and unrefined. Let's try to understand - basically, oil is the sap of the seeds of a plant, extracted from the germ, which has stored up energy for the beginning of a new life, a new sprout. This gravity is full of all sorts of bioactive substances - not only fats, but also vitamins, enzymes, complex lipids - all the things needed for a new sprout, for the development of life. Therefore, if the seeds/nuts have been fresh, unroasted, and the oil has been extracted in a gentle way, without heating or any post-treatment, it will be the most valuable, the most 'alive', and the one that has retained most of the bioactive substances, the ones that make up the membranes of the skin cells, the hydro-lipic membrane. This is why a quality oil is the most valuable "food" for skin and hair, one of the most important sources of antioxidants, and is therefore a perfect substitute for a daily cream: by spreading a few drops of oil on the skin, moistened with a hydrating oil, a cream can be "created" directly on the face or body. Try this simples method!

Oils also include oily macerates of herbs, or phytols. These are some of the first cosmetic products invented by man. They are even more valuable than unrefined solo oils because they are enriched with the bioactive phytonutrients of the plants soaked in them. Our most popular phytols are MONOI de TAHITI, NEROL ELIXIR. Phytols are used in similar ways to pure oils.

But oils clog pores... Not true!

Unrefined quality oils never clog the pores of the skin; on the contrary, they help to cleanse them. Pores can be clogged by refined colourless, odourless, low-quality oils, lanolin, and non-degradable synthetic oils such as mineral oil and silicones (INCI: Mineral oil, Paraffinum liquidum, Vegetable oil, Petrolatum, Dimethicone)

What are the benefits of unrefined cosmetic oils?

  • The most valuable natural prebiotic skin care product.
  • Oil is the "food" of the skin and the skin microbiota, providing fats, antioxidants and natural building blocks such as special lipids, which can be deficient due to malnutrition
  • Natural emollient for dry skin - helps maintain skin moisture, balances skin oiliness
  • Reinforces the skin's resilience
  • Nourishes the skin with antioxidant vitamins to help slow down skin ageing
  • Helps to protect the skin against infections, inflammation, acne and allergic reactions
  • Oils are free of preservatives and other technological additives, making them the best skinimalist choice for sensitive, irritated skin; use the Simples method
  • Detoxifying for cosmetic-weary skin (oil cleansing)
  • Smoothes hair, adds shine, helps repair damaged hair structure
  • Mouth and teeth care product - rinse (oil pulling)
  • Gives us plant energy

How to use the oil? Two basic rules:

  1. Use in drops, use sparingly as little goes long way
  2. Apply to wet skin - it is easy to spread the drop over a large area and absorbs more quickly into wet skin (NB: when rapid absorption is not desired, apply to dry skin, e.g. when protecting skin from cold, UV rays or during massage)
  • Applying the oil to the face or hands - spray the skin with the hydrolat and spread 1-3 drops of oil (simples method, see more about simples here).
  • Applying the oil to the body - pour a few drops of oil into the palm of your hand and spread on wet body immediately after getting out of the shower; allow a few minutes to soak in.
  • Hair oil - run oiled fingers through wet hair, ends of hair; allow to soak for a few minutes (do not over-soak to avoid rinsing); or hair mask - apply generously to the scalp and hair, leave on for half an hour, or overnight, and wash off with a mild Rosemary shampoo.
  • Oils are used as a base to dilute essential oils to a safe concentration for use on the skin, in aromatherapy rubs and massages, and are therefore also known as base oils in aromatherapy.
