Macadamia Oil Unrefined Macadamia integrifolia
The special thing about our macadamia oil is high quality - it is hand-pressed in a small cooperative in the PAR. The nuts are fresh, unheated and unroasted (which is easy to understand when you smell the oil - it has a faint sweetish smell of fresh nuts). Unrefined.
This primitive technology allows us to preserve many of the bioactive substances and solar energy stored in the germ, the nut, which our skin greedily absorbs and uses as cell building materials and antioxidants. These substances make up the so-called 'unsaponifiable fraction' of the oil. This rich oil is the most valuable prebiotic skin- and hair- care product - a valuable "food" for the skin and the skin microbiota, a natural emollient-softener, a moisturiser, a soother for problematic skin.

Macadamia oil (bot. Macadamia integrifolia) is one of several oils that contain high levels of palmitoleic fatty acid and almost all monounsaturated fatty acids. Palmitoleic fatty acid is uncommon in plants. It is also present in the sebum of our skin, which is why macadamia oil is so easily absorbed by the skin. In addition, palmitoleic acid inhibits the growth of gram-positive bacteria, so macadamia oil can be a useful ingredient in cosmetic products, protecting products from spoilage and the skin from certain infections.
Macadamia oil is wonderfully softening to the skin, penetrates easily and absorbs quickly.
Warm oil masks give shine to dry hair and limp hair ends, and regulate the scalp's oil production.
- Apply to the face in drops, do not over-apply, as unrefined oil is very runny;
- Apply to wet skin - this makes it easy to spread the drop over a large area and the oil absorbs more quickly into wet skin (note: when rapid absorption is not desired, apply to dry skin, e.g. when protecting skin from cold, UV rays or during massage)
- Find the right dosage for you: if after 10-20 minutes an excess of oil remains on the skin, you have applied too much; wipe off the excess with a paper handkerchief; if after a few hours you feel your skin tightening, you have not applied enough oil.
- To use the oil on the face or hands, spray the skin with the hydrolate and spread 2-3 drops of oil (simples routine, read more about the simples routine here).
- Using the oil on the body - pour a few drops of oil into the palm of your hand and spread it on wet body immediately after getting out of the shower; let it soak for a few minutes.
- Hair oil - run oiled fingers through wet hair, ends of hair; allow to absorb for a few minutes (do not over-dose to avoid rinsing); or hair mask - apply generously to the scalp and hair, leave on for half an hour, or overnight, and wash off with a mild Rosemary shampoo.
- Oils are used as a base to dilute essential oils to a safe concentration for use on the skin, in aromatherapy rubs and massages, and are therefore also known as base oils in aromatherapy.
- Colour and concentration can vary from batch to batch due to weather and climatic events, which is normal and typical for natural plant extracts.
- Store tightly sealed in a dry, cool and dark place.
- Protect the contents from moisture and dirt – the oil may begin to deteriorate (oxidise).
- The amount of oil in the bottle is the amount indicated on the label, visual quantities may vary due to the design of the bottles.
- Do not use if it has changed and developed an unpleasant odour.
