Coriander Seed Essential Oil Coriandrum sativum
Coriander (Coriandrum sativum) is native to Southern Europe and Asia Minor. In Lithuania, it is widely cultivated as a culinary herb. Like many aromatic herbs and spices, coriander has long been used in traditional food culture to enrich the flavour and aroma of dishes.
Coriander seed essential oil is distilled from the harvested, dried, fully ripened fruits (commonly referred to as seeds). Its aroma is warm, rich, and slightly sweet, with a delicate fresh lemon-like nuance—quite unlike the distinctive scent of fresh coriander leaves, which some people find less appealing.
Please note: these essential oils are not registered as medicinal products or biocidal products.
Natural plant essential oils not only offer pleasant aromas. They bring a sense of closeness to nature into our surroundings and help create a calm, harmonious, and biologically favourable atmosphere. Such an environment is especially valued by city dwellers who spend much of their time indoors and is important for children's naturally developing emotional balance.
