Violet Leaf Absolute Viola odorata L.

Violet Leaf Absolute - is a rich, deep green aromatic liquid extract with a powerful green foliage and mossy aroma, complemented by an elegant, subtle floral undertone. It is long-lasting and has excellent diffusion properties.

The absolute is extracted from the leaves. Around 100 years ago, violet flowers were also extracted in France, but this practice gradually disappeared due to the high cost and because the floral scent can be recreated relatively easily by combining violet leaf absolute with benzyl-alcohol-rich absolutes or oils from other flowers.

Today, violet flowers from the few remaining small farms in France are used almost exclusively by florists.
