Lemon verbena essential oil (Aloysia citrodora), distilled from lemon verbena, belongs to the family of citrus-scented essential oils. Its fresh, clear, fruity-floral aroma, enriched with a distinctive note of lemon honey, has made it a favourite among essential oil lovers. So rich and beautifully balanced is its fragrance that it could easily be mistaken for a finished perfume. Its aroma is often associated with a calm, relaxing mood, making it especially popular for creating an evening atmosphere.
The essential oil is steam-distilled from the entire aerial part of the plant. Lemon verbena is also used to produce a beautifully fresh and aromatic hydrolat.

As a cosmetic ingredient in creams, oils and massage blends. To prepare for a night's rest, put it on the corner of your pillow, on a napkin next to your bed. To calm the emotions during the day, e.g. at work, inhale directly from the bottle.
Do not use pure on the skin as it may cause irritation; dilute with vegetable oil or butter; maximum concentration for use on the skin is 0.2% (R. Tisserand, R. Young "Essential Oil Safety"); use our concentration calculator;
