So, what is aromatherapy: science or magic?

Scents are one of the most direct pathways to our brain. They bypass long “thinking routes” and directly reach areas associated with:

  • Emotions
  • Memory
  • Stress response

Have you ever wondered why you feel most rested in nature? It is very likely because of the scents - ones you may not even consciously notice. Unfortunately, for city dwellers, escaping into nature is increasingly becoming a luxury due to the fast pace of life. That’s why alternatives are needed - and that’s where we come in.

Aromatherapy is the use of natural essential oils for therapeutic purposes, most commonly to support physical and emotional well-being.

This is neither new nor a passing trend. The roots of aromatherapy date back to ancient Egypt. Essential oils were already being produced during the Renaissance, and since the 20th century, aromatherapy has been developing as a scientific discipline.

Most people experience the effects of aromatherapy quickly and clearly: the body relaxes, breathing slows down, and emotional balance is restored. Of course, each person experiences sensations differently, but scientific literature has long explored how essential oils affect the autonomic nervous system, mood, attention, and more.

For us, aromatherapy is far more than just pleasant scents.

We approach aromatherapy as a science. That is why:

  • We are the only company in the Baltic States with our own scent analysis and microbiology laboratory, where chemical GC-MS testing is part of our daily routine;
  • We trust our suppliers, but also carry out additional testing for impurities, contaminants, phthalates, and pesticides to ensure the highest quality;
  • We work with experienced professionals in aromatherapy, pharmacy, chemistry, cosmetology, and perfumery;
  • We take safety and efficacy seriously. In this article, we present a study in which we sought to determine whether the effects we and our clients experience subjectively can also be measured objectively.

For us, quality is not just words - it is a daily contribution to your well-being.

If it matters to you:

  • to choose a high-quality, locally made product;
  • to avoid disrupting your endocrine system and skin microbiome with synthetic and other undesirable substances;
  • to choose products that do not harm the environment;

then we are on the same path.
