About the scent.  Many describe the scent of Omani frankincense as invigorating, the sort that makes you want to breathe it in more deeply. The aroma is exceptionally clear, resinous, dry and mineral, with a hint of citrus; the purity and freshness of the resin are evident, accompanied by a woody undertone.

Cosmetic properties:

• FRANKINCENSE ELIXIR is rich not only in its characteristic aromatic compounds (~2.4 per cent), but also in bioactive components that are virtually absent from the essential oil – boswellic and acids, tirucaric acids, lupeol compounds, diterpenes and incensol derivatives. The literature describes the anti-inflammatory and oxidative stress-modulating potential of these compounds. Importantly, the natural components of the resin’s essential oil enhance the penetration of large-molecule boswellic acids and other inflammation-modulating compounds
