ANYKŠČIAI PINEWOODS is a 100% natural room spray inspired by the scent of a sunlit Lithuanian pine forest – fresh pine needles, resinous woods and thyme-covered slopes, giving way to darker spruce groves, balsamic forest berries and a cool carpet of moss.

The fragrance unfolds as an aromatic blend of trees, resins, herbs and other botanical extracts with ethyl alcohol, capturing the layered character of the Lithuanian woodland.

We created this blend together with Mila Monk, a shinrin-yoku forest bathing guide and translator of the Lithuanian edition of Dr Qing Li’s book Forest Bathing.

The name was inspired by Antanas Baranauskas’ celebrated 19th-century poem Anykščių šilelis (The Pinewood of Anykščiai), as well as by Anykščiai itself – a place deeply connected with Lithuania’s forest culture. The town also hosted Lithuania’s first forest festival, attended by Dr Qing Li, who was captivated by the beauty of the surrounding landscape.

The scent opens with bright coniferous notes and fresh herbs, followed by the deeper warmth of resin, spruce and forest floor. Thyme adds an aromatic, sun-warmed character, while mossy and balsamic notes bring depth and stillness.

The result is a fragrance that feels fresh, resinous, green and grounding – like stepping into a quiet pine forest warmed by the summer sun.

Antanas Baranauskas’ poem Anykščių šilelis, written in 1856, is renowned for its extraordinarily sensory depiction of the forest. Pine resin, meadow flowers, thyme, moss, leaves and woodland earth merge into one living, breathing landscape.
