Description

Widely used in perfumery, cocoa absolute is a dark brown, thick liquid obtained from cocoa beans by extraction. Some cocoa absolutes are sweeter, some richer, some more bitter, varying like the varieties of dark chocolate. The smell of chocolate has always been considered a great aphrodisiac and the smell of happiness.

Massages with cocoa absolute have become increasingly popular in recent times.

Country of origin: South America, extract extracted in France.

Cocoa absolute blends well with its chocolate partners – mint, orange, vanilla – as well as with ylang ylang, saffron, jasmine.

Usage

Used in perfumery, home fragrances, can be used in Aromastone type vaporisers for home fragrance.

Warnings

Do not use pure on the skin as it may cause irritation; dilute with vegetable oil or butter; the maximum absolute concentration of rose hip for use on the skin is 2.5% (R. Tisserand, R. Young "Essential Oil Safety"); use our concentration calculator;

Effects on pregnant and lactating women are unknown; essential oils and absolutes should be avoided during the first 3 months of pregnancy and in infants under 3 months of age unless necessary.
