A natural flavouring for limited use to complement the aroma and flavour of a food.
Aroma-medium, taste-intense (bitter, astringent, pungent). This nutritional extract is ideal for flavouring soups, stews, sauces, vegetable, rice, meat, egg dishes and confectionery.
- Process: CO2 extraction
- Edible.
Use as needed, 1-5 drops per litre or kilogram of food.
Ingredients: 100% pure turmeric extract (Curcuma longa).
General tips for using CO2 extracts to perfume and flavour food
- Pay attention to the aroma and flavour strength! CO2 extracts not only have an aroma, but often also a strong taste.
- Do not overdose! Always start with the smallest recommended amount of extract in the food you are preparing and taste, especially important for uncooked foods. It is still possible to add extra extract, but not to remove it.
- If possible, add extracts at the end of cooking, especially if you are cooking, as the heating process removes some of the flavour, leaving less of it in the dish.
- Don't be afraid to experiment! Unexpected combinations of extracts can make the simplest dish special.
